Google announced public access to its AI Overviews with a waitlist disappearance feature across the United States. The update provides users with an innovative AI-powered search solution inside the main Google Search results, delivering major benefits for consumers and digital advertisers.

The generative AI-based AI Overviews were previously limited to Search Labs under the title “Search Generative Experience (SGE),” yet now they surface at the top of targeted queries as the official public version of Google’s AI Overview service. Signed-in users (18 or above) will experience the new feature with a phase-wise introduction.
