A shopping campaign has no keywords. Google decides which searches your products appear for by reading your feed, which means your product data is your targeting. When the feed is thin or wrong, no amount of bid management rescues it.
That is why our Google Shopping management works in a fixed order:
Merchant Center first: account setup, verification, and clearing the policy problems and disapprovals that stop products serving at all.
Then the feed: required attributes completed, titles rewritten around real search language, and images and categories corrected.
Then structure: products grouped by margin, price band, or sales volume, so budget can be controlled where it matters.
Then bidding: target return on ad spend set by product group rather than one number for the whole catalogue.
Our Google Shopping ads services cover retailers on Shopify, WooCommerce, and Magento; single-country and multi-market feeds; and catalogues from a few dozen products to several thousand. Where a retailer already has an in-house team, the same work is available as a Google Shopping ads consultant engagement instead.
Shopping rarely runs alone. See Performance Max management for automated campaigns that use the same feed, and Google Ads for ecommerce for the wider account.
Product data is the targeting. Retailers who treat the feed as an export job compete against retailers who treat it as ad copy, and lose on relevance before bidding even starts.
Performance Max eats shopping budgets quietly. Run side by side without brand exclusions and clear priorities; automated campaigns absorb the demand your shopping campaigns were already winning.
Disapprovals cost real revenue. A policy or attribute problem can remove a best-selling product from the auction for weeks before anyone notices it in the reports.
One ROAS target for an entire catalogue hides losses. Products with different margins cannot profitably share a single target.
Shoppers compare before they click. Titles, images, and prices in the shopping results decide the click, which makes feed quality a conversion issue as much as a traffic one.
Eight areas of work, in the order they get done. The first four decide whether your products show at all, and for which searches. The last four decide what they cost you.

Google Merchant Center setup covers account creation, website and shipping verification, tax and returns settings, and linking to Google Ads. Where an account already exists, we clear the policy problems and account-level warnings that hold products back, and put a process in place for handling new disapprovals within days rather than months.
Choosing a Google Shopping ads agency comes down to one question: who takes responsibility for the product data. Here is where we differ from most.

Most agencies manage bids and ask your developers to fix the feed. We treat product data as part of the campaign and work on it every month.

We ask for margin data before setting targets, because a 60% margin product and a 12% margin product cannot share a return on ad spend goal.

Merchant Center is monitored weekly, so blocked products get fixed while they still matter, not at the next quarterly review.

Reporting goes down to the individual item, so decisions about stock, pricing and spend are made on evidence.

Shopify, WooCommerce and Magento feeds, including supplemental feeds and feed rules.

Your Merchant Center, Google Ads account and feed setup remain yours, with full history, if you ever leave.
Shopping accounts reward order of operations. Fix the data, then the structure, then the bids, and only then spend more.

We collect product data, margin by product group, stock levels and seasonality, so campaign decisions match what you can actually sell profitably.
How your feed reaches Merchant Center changes what can be fixed and how fast. On Shopify, the Google & YouTube channel handles the basic sync, but title and attribute control usually needs feed rules or a dedicated feed tool. WooCommerce and Magento feeds vary with the plugin in use, and often need supplemental feeds for custom labels and corrected titles.
We work with your existing setup where it is sound and recommend a change only where the current route blocks the work.
Both use your product feed, and the honest answer is that most retailers end up running both. Standard Shopping gives you direct control over which products serve, what they bid and which searches are excluded, which makes it the safer place to start and the better place to protect brand demand. Performance Max reaches further across Google's surfaces and can find buyers Shopping alone will not, but it gives you less visibility and needs brand exclusions and clean conversion data to behave.
Our recommendation depends on conversion volume, margin and how much control you want. Where both run, the two need clear ownership of products and audiences, which is the work described in tab 8 above.
Shopping retainers are priced on catalogue size, feed condition, and the number of markets you sell in, because a 200-product feed in one country is a different job from 8,000 products across three. Feed work is included in every plan, and your management fee is always stated separately from ad spend.

Google Shopping ads are the product listings with an image, title and price that appear in search results and the Shopping tab. Unlike text ads, they have no keywords: Google matches them to searches using your product feed, which is why the quality of that data decides performance.
Yes. Merchant Center is where your product data lives and where Google checks it against its policies. It has to be verified, claimed against your website and linked to your Google Ads account before Shopping campaigns can run.
The most common causes are price or availability mismatches between the feed and the landing page, missing required attributes such as GTIN or brand, image problems like promotional overlays or watermarks, and policy issues around restricted products or checkout and returns information. We work through them by cause, then fix the process that let them through.
New accounts and products go through an initial review, and resubmitted items are reviewed again after a fix. Review times vary by account and by the type of issue, so we clear the highest-revenue products first and track each item until it serves again rather than promising a turnaround Google controls.
Standard Shopping gives you product-level control and clearer reporting; Performance Max reaches more of Google's inventory using the same feed but shows you less. Most retailers run both, with clear rules about which campaign owns which products and brand exclusions in place.
You pay per click, and the cost depends on your category, your competitors and your product prices. Rather than quoting an industry average, we estimate a starting budget from your own product margins and target return on ad spend, so the number relates to what a sale is worth to you.
Yes. Most feeds can be corrected with feed rules and supplemental feeds without touching your website, which means fixes ship in days rather than waiting for a development release.
Work it out from margin, not from benchmarks. If a product carries a 40% gross margin, you need roughly 2.5x return on ad spend to break even on that sale before overheads. Products with thinner margins need higher targets, which is why we set targets by product group.
Feed health is checked weekly: new disapprovals, price and stock mismatches and warning trends. Title and attribute work runs on a rolling schedule, prioritised by which products carry the most spend and revenue.
Yes. Both accounts stay in your name with your billing. We work through manager access you can revoke at any time, and your feed setup, campaign structure and history stay with you.
